Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: 31 May 2026

You have the right to request that we delete the personal information we hold about you. This page explains how to make that request and what happens after.

How to request deletion

Send an email to hello@indulgepatisserie.ph with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".

In your email, please include:

  1. Your full name
  2. The email address and phone number you used when ordering or messaging us
  3. The platform(s) you've interacted with us on — any of: indulgepatisserie.ph, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, Viber
  4. A short note confirming you want all your personal data deleted

Example:

Subject: Data Deletion Request

Hi Indulge Patisserie team,

My name is [Your Name]. I previously ordered from your website using the email [your-email@example.com] and the phone +63 917 555 1234. I also messaged you on Facebook Messenger.

Please delete all my personal data from your records.

Thank you,
[Your Name]

What we will do

Within 30 days of receiving your request, we will:

  1. Verify your identity — by replying to the email address you provided. This protects you from someone else requesting your data be deleted.
  2. Delete the following information:
    • Your name, address, phone, and email from our customer database
    • The content of any Facebook Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, or Viber conversations you have had with us
    • Your order history (we will replace your details with anonymized labels — order totals are retained for accounting purposes but cannot be linked back to you)
    • Any marketing subscriptions
  3. Confirm completion — we will send you a final email confirming the deletion is done

What we cannot delete

By Philippine law (Bureau of Internal Revenue record-keeping rules), we are required to retain financial transaction records for 10 years. This means:

  • We cannot delete the existence of an order that occurred in the past 10 years
  • We can anonymize the order — removing your name, address, phone, and email so that the transaction can no longer be linked to you as a person

After 10 years, the anonymized records are deleted entirely.

What happens on Meta platforms

When you delete your data with us, we cannot delete the conversations from your own copy of Facebook Messenger, Instagram, or WhatsApp — those messages remain in your app on your device. To remove them from your own end:

  • Messenger: open the chat with Indulge Patisserie → tap your name at the top → "Delete chat"
  • Instagram: open the DM → tap and hold the conversation → Delete
  • WhatsApp: open the chat → tap menu → More → Clear chat or Delete chat

You may also wish to revoke our app's access to your Facebook / Instagram account by going to:
Facebook Settings → Apps and websites → look for "indulge-analytics-bot" → Remove

Children's information

If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have collected information about a child under 13, please email hello@indulgepatisserie.ph immediately. We will delete the information without verification delay.

Questions

If you have any questions about how to request deletion, or about what data we hold about you, please email hello@indulgepatisserie.ph.
